The Critter's Monolougue

~*The Critter's Monolougue*~

"I'm critter with a small head and fast ticking brain, at times abnormal heart-beats. You will always find ME engaged in multitasking, with MY pandora box of strange views and nonsense ideas, those endless jabberings, thousands of penniless thoughts and zillions of unsolved questions…!

That’s my world of weirdness, wildness, confusions, dilemmas, nonconformity and quirks. It’s Good, Bad and Ugly ...

To Live, love, laugh, play, relax, rejoice, celebrate...Explore, discover, question, dare, understand, wonder, reflect...Create, care, conserve, nurture...Share, help, hug, heal, inspire.... These are just some of the ways this small creature feels about life. Do you at times feel the same?"

Into each life some rain must fall.....

Today was a sad day... Reasons are many..!

Reason 1: Last night's agony.. no-word exchange wala fight.. huh! Sulk Sulk..We don't understand each other..That's what we alleged each other ( at least with my silence..! )
Reason 2: Today/ Yesterday was a Monday (typical Monday-phobia blooming inside me)
Reason 3: Mucocele is back plus gum injury... awww. :'(
Reason 4: Leaving bed in the morning lately even though alarm rang an hour before.. huh... I hate it..!
Reason 5: Still in dilemma whether to talk to BBA about what should be done or not.
Reason 6:  Oh, the day seemed so long..I hate it again..!
Reason 7:  Repeated "accusations" from BBA that I am not doing my job properly ( which isn't true, he loves to boss around, huh.. I hate it again and again when some one points out my perfection levels.. :(( )
Reason 8: Finally that faltu file of  one of the jerk grantees had to be completed by me (by EOD).. I had been avoiding it since March.. but had no excuse today (fell in-trap..)
Reason 9: BBA screaming on me without trying to understand what I was explaining... huh.. I hate myself as sub-ordinate of someone..!
Reason 10: Sat in office alone till 9 30 PM, completed the work, mailed BBA and that jerk.. huh

As if these ten reasons were not enough, that it rained badly when I decided to pack up!!.. and I was stuck in office, alone for an hour or so...! huh!!

There and then I realized... its the rain that will wash off my anger, frustration and pain and may be it will make me feel calm, wet and peaceful. Without delaying, I packed my bag, ran to the basement and started my scooter.. drove back home..As I drove my scooter in the air, cold wind lashed me, rain drops, big and small, hit me. I was not scared as I had one thing in mind... To get a cleansing done..! I drove in dark, windy night with wet, serpentine, slippery roads, heading towards the city life (thankfully, the Bellary road, where currently some fly-over construction is going on, was dust-free and empty and human-less), As I drove, I didn't listen to 94.3 FM rather for a change I tuned into the collection of melodies stored in my phone. I drove as I listened to Hariji's 'Hasti apni habaab si hai', drenched in rain.... without stopping..!

And as I drove... I realized..
“Into each life some rain must fall, some days must be dark and dreary.”

We Must Love Someone

May 18th had been always special for me. That's what I had thought.
Since my blog has got a few readers, I may not be able to write what I want to. But this May 19th isn't the same date which I loved to celebrate always.

As I searched for its and bits of my life's book, joining the torn out papers of my life, I found this book of Ruskin Bond and read the entire book to restore my peace, my calmness, to realize that somewhere I am still waiting for ....!

We Must Love Someone

We must love someone
If we are to justify
Our presence on this earth.
We must keep loving all our days,
Someone, anyone, anywhere
Outside our selves,
For our selves;
For even the sarus crane
Will grieve over its lost companion,
And the seal its mate.
Somewhere in life
There must be someone
To take your hand
And share the torrid day
Without the touch of love
There is no life, and we must fade away.

I just hope you realize this sooner before someone is perished completely.
And I have decided, I will never ever celebrate May 19th from now on.

When it rains..

Haikus-Small emotion-poems, of 4 to 6 lines, are of Japanese origin.
Of lately I discovered this hidden talent of mine that writing haikus make me so crazy..!! :P
There it goes which I penned down long time back in one of my scribbling dairies.

When it Rains,
The tune plays in my Brain....
I dance...........................
Without leaving that Golden Chance!!

I am forgetting all my Pain
As I know
There is nothing to Gain
Oh yea, its all in Vain.....!!

A Rooster's Monologue..

(The narrator is "The sad rooster" himself)

"Grown up in a Farm,
I never did any Harm...
But when u order
He has to murder..!!

I go into the pot,
Boiling hot...
And then on the dinner table
Little Jonhy desperate to nibble
Daddy is ready to chump
my fleshy lump...

All in family, happy to feast..
Like a beast...!!
I am the rooster
Your tongue's booster..!!"

My Top Five Inspirations

"Women are Always Beautiful"
~ Oscar Wilde.

On this 8th March, where the whole world is celebrating women power on the day of International Women's Day (started in 1975 in United States), I find my blog to be the most privileged place to thank a few real life known ladies, close to me, my soul and life. They have not only  my inspirations, but also motivator and I am a great-time secret admirer of these real-world heroines.

Lady 1: Manjushree Tripathy

First in the list is none else than my Mom... My life giver, my lucky charm, my stress buster, my pout  box for throwing my anger, my bad times companion. I not only owe my life to her, but I also feel proud to be her daughter. Had there been no Manjushree Tripathy, I would have been never into existence nor my blog.

She is a voracious reader of literature, a professor in rare language (Sanskrit), a hindustani classical vocalist, a TV and Radio singer, a mother of three, a knitty gardener, a warden of hostel with 500 girls..!
She is an all time workoholic machine. I have never ever seen her resting or wasting time.
And as she says the famous lines "No mother can be evil/ bad, whatsoever may be her kid (son)be!", I realize now she is the perfect epitome of a woman.

I know my mother is the best person in this world  and will remain with me for-ever. I love you mom for being my mom..!

Lady 2: Soubadra Devy

I got the opportunity to interact with Soubadra (SD, I love to tag her with her initials) one fine evening. I still remember our first conversation. It was sometime during last year's summer (in May), when one fine evening she walked into my workspace and discussed about one job profile. Ever since I had heard of SD and her better half TG (T.Ganesh ) during my Pondicherry days, I was keen to work with both esp Soubadra, the butterfly lady in our field (ecology). She was one amongst the few names who work on plant-animal interaction (in particular pollination ecology).

Soubadra, from the 80's batch (if not wrong, 89 Batch, Salim Ali School of Ecology, Pondicherry University), is a field ecologist, a canopy scientist working in the tiger landscape at KMTR. Soubadra Devy has been a inspiration in many a ways. Before I knew her and after I have known her (since May 2010). First time I read her scientific paper for an assignment for Partha's Forest Ecology course, I was eager to meet her. And as we all know, nothing is impossible in the world. My settling in Banglore, getting the golden chance to work at ATREE, and that fine evening of last summer when the lady came to me with the job of working as an editor for her canopy book, all had been so perfect and unexpected. I thank god for finally making me work with SD on her one of the many books.

She has been a constant motivator, inspiration and good listener. Not to forget she loves my cakes a lot (like  my work :P). Keeping my fingers crossed to get more opportunity to work with her in future...!

Lady 3: Jyotirmayee Dash

Meet this "small" lady..She must be 5' or so, dusky skin-toned, somewhat in early 40s of her life. She is an authentic cook (aah, how much I love those stuffed sweet fried rice balls, the special rice pudding.. she owns expertise in continental and typical oriya and indian food). She is my aunt and we love to gossip with her. She is more than a friend. A senior lecturer, married to my uncle (dad's younger bro), a mother of two girls, I really salute the way she manages her job, her ill health, her home and everything (not to forget her sarees, I love them a lots).

Kudi (in Oriya, for Chachi) ranks third in my list of inspiration and no doubt if I say I admire her a lots.

Lady 4: Anita Tripathy Lal

"Annani", that's what I call her. She is my second cousin). I rank her to be the perfect modern woman, who balances between work, kids, home, ailing parents, maids... what not to list when it comes to Anita Tripathy. She deserves 10 on 10 on my list of perfect woman.! A IIT graduate, MBA prof @ some famous B school in Delhi, Anita is a mother of 6 kids- her mom and dad (late Nira uncle), Vinni, Sherya, Sumit Bhai and her maids (that's what she told me when I had been to her place last time, sometime in Aug 2007). Wooah! so many kids with different demands and she manages to fulfill all of them without fail.

I salute her for being so versatile, flamboyant and super-energetic.

Lady 5: Deepa Pradhan Rath

Deepa Bhabhi is a modern era woman, a banker and a nice mix of old thoughts and new ventures. Married to my cousin, Deepa stays in Delhi with my brother, work for a bank. From the first time I saw her during the marriage till my stay in Delhi for 3 days, I realized Deepa bhabhi is so dynamic and a typical metro woman, having a good balance at home and her workspace.

By the way, not to forget, 8th March is her birthday and so I wish her many many happy returns of the day.. ! She is a true woman of spirits.

These were the famous five in my life.. What are yours?

And there you screech.....Leech...Leech..!

Leech Leech...
Never seen on sea beach

Not on trees of birch or peach
One can found in ample, near that ditch..!
They love to hog on anything
that's hemo-rich.

Hiding in the rain-forest mud
always ready to drink your sweet blood
As slowly as they climb
Onto your hind-limb..
You never get the feel
While they slowly enjoy their meal

Aah, you feel the lump,
With fear as you jump..
Now you screech
OMG...! A leech..
No...no ..., two leeches,
Oh no! Three leeches..!!.
And to your horror, you find more leeches!

But then you stop your forest walk, take a halt
And carefully pour little salt,
Aah... Alas, now screams the leech..
That's how you get rid of  that beast
There you see yourself bleed ..!

Oh oh..
All these while, they loved you as their feed
As blood is their only need..!
Leech Leech...
Never seen on sea beach

Leech Leech...
...when they are after you, they make you itch ...:P ;)

On our 3rd anniversary...

I dedicate this video only and only for you my Einstein (Mr. Hegde).

On our Third anniversary, all I want to say is that hopes and dreams are still alive inside me and am still in love with you for the only reason which is very obvious-"For you are my BITTER half and I'm your BETTER half." I have been fighting all odds like a viking and I am sure that you  too are a fighter. And I have the faith that one day all my dreams will come alive just because of you.

I don't find a better medium to confess all these. I still feel the same way as I have been feeling for last three years for my dear Fifin pie...! :P

Here it goes, one of my crazy poems from your bonny sweetheart, for you (and only you) :

Don't you know why
I'm still with you...!

Since you make me laugh and you make me cry,
You admire me, you criticize me..
You bring smile on my face and also tear,
Thank god for we bear each other..!

Don't you know why
I'm still with you...!

You make my day and night ..
Your chicky sms or a call sometimes makes my day bright..
When i am sad, you hold my tight..
All those excuses and fights,
Our self-egos and hundreds of inner frights...

In the midst of all those
we share some lovely memories..
Many funny moments...
A few secrets, some bold adventures...
Some spicy and juicy gossips.. :P
 With hot cups of teas..!

My endless jabberings,
Your silent listenings..
And a lot of untold words..!
A few of those I have shared by card..
That still bind us with this bond..!

And that's why I'm still with you..
Perhaps will be always there with you.!!

Instant Rhapsodies...

They say that I am quickie writer. Instant words pop out from my brain, which rhythm and speak out my inside. I don't think twice nor do I re-think when I pen down some jabbering.
In a nutshell, I love all those popping-out words from my musing's Pandora box. What I visualize in a photo, I try to weave it into a quilt of fancies.

Some of these instant rhapsodies are only for Man, my old friend in good hours and bad times.

***

This is the first one~

Oh its white ..
What a lovely bright sight..
On the snow..
...when the sun rays glow..!

I find my way..
It makes me gay
Into the woods, on the snow..
We walk slow..
On the snow..
when the sun rays glow..!

***

There goes the second one ~

The snow ocean, as I name it..
there you see..
the waves in white..
... In its midst..
there's chunks of lives..

Like the green sea
that has the corals
I am sure
You feel damn royal...!
:) :P
***

And the third one ~
:)

The misty clouds..
Speak so loud..
A story from the valley..
...Where kids play in alley..

Its now a folk of the past..
Time has moved so fast..
Now that The valley is into two pieces
Its no more the adobe of peace

But still the misty clouds,
When they enter the valley
They cry it loud
That one day kids will play in alley..!

***
Man, that what I call him with awe and affection. I met Manish Kumar in 2005 in Pondicherry, where we spent 750 days together, from university classroom to our Silent Valley trip. This saga of bonding still continues...

Its my pleasure to write some instant rhapsodies for our dear Man for his adventures in nature's lap, from his Sikkim trip.

The blue-stoned Ring

The blue-stoned Ring,
Reminds me the songs we used to sing
in the hot summer evenings
and cold rainy nights.

It's the blue-stoned ring
That reminds me of those glasses of water
You used to bring
When I used be your master.

The blue-stoned ring
Has a central Jade,
and tiny diamonds all over studded.
It stands for our love,
which will never fade.

Oh yes, it's the blue-stoned ring
that says me "You re there for me to cling onto"
A resilire to our shared childhood memories
of those secrets,gossips and care
pillow-fights, quarrels and then sorries!

Oh yes, it's the blue-stoned ring
A gift from my Sister
For the love that we still do share
Along with our grown-up dreams.
